ConverterLite version 1.4.0 was published on Wenesday the 9th of May.

    This is the only download link that provides the full download.  Others truncate at 999KB.  I am running W7 sp1

      The 999kb file is a web installer that installs the full file. We need to update our homepage as it suggests it is  a 13mb file

    I installed it as admin with no problem, however, when a standard user tries to use it it gives me a “can’t find db data base – try re-installing it”

    your thoughts on this.

      Your standard user does not have permission to access the Data base file as it is stored in the user settings. Thus you need to run the software from the same acount you installed it.

      I installed as admin and it would not run from a client log on , db database error , but if you go to the website download and re do it it will work from whatever account it’s installed on regardless if it’s admin or not. fiddly but workable

    I get the same error (“can’t find db data base – try re-installing it”) over and over again!!!! Even installing it as an admin. Shouldnt be so difficult to fix! If I install it from the link above http://download.converterlite.com/setup-converterlite-1.4.0.exe) I can use it but when I close it and try to use it, I get the error again!

       Are you installing AND running it as admin?

     I am getting FFmpeg error when I try to convert a .swf file. See image.
    What to do?

      Unfortunately this is happening because either:

      a) Your file is protected
      b) Your swf file contains a flash file not a  video file

    Running Win7-64 Ultimate.  Installer never closed after reaching 100%.  After 5 minutes of no activity, I killed the process.  Installation was successful and conversion worked.

      This may have been a temporary problem as we were trying a different installer. However we have gone back to our former installer. Did you click the finish button.

       ConverterLite is only supported on Windows.

    Click the download.  Once downloaded click “Install as Administrator”, circle spins for about 10 seconds then disappears….

    wont let me convert Mp4 to AVI say parameters are incorrect such as bit rate, rate, etc…

      Try adding “-ar 192k” to the end of the arguments. You can do this by choosing your format and quality, clickig settings and adding a space to the end of the argument followed by “iar 192K”. If no luck, send us the log!
